Ali Stier

Ali joined Hollyport in 2022 as an Associate in the investment team in New York. Within her role, Ali works with the investment team to introduce new opportunities, perform due diligence, and analyse potential acquisitions of private equity funds and portfolio companies.

During Ali’s first year at Hollyport she spent six weeks working in the London office and enjoyed her time exploring the city. Since joining the firm she has deepened her analysis skills across different industries and continues to develop her expertise in fund modelling.

Ali studied at Cornell University where she gained a BSc in Human Development, with a Minor in both Health Policy and Business.

Outside of work Ali enjoys listening to music, trying out new restaurants and discovering new activities in New York City.

Andrew Ward

Andrew joined Hollyport in 2021 as an investment team Principal in the London office and relocated to New York in 2024. He originates potential opportunities and leads project teams as they are evaluated and introduced at Investment Committee. He also focuses on outreach to market intermediaries, fund managers and potential sellers.

Andrew has worked in private equity secondaries for more than 12 years and has seen the market develop from around $20bn of transaction volume to over $100bn. He has focused on GP-led transactions for the last six years and is an expert in this field.

Andrew graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Banking and Finance and holds an MBA from INSEAD.  He has worked and studied in five different countries: the US, UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, and France. As well as travelling, Andrew loves to ski, hike, play tennis, and listen to live music.

Dani Shayne

Dani joined Hollyport in 2021 as an Associate in the New York investment team. His role covers all aspects of the investment appraisal process; valuing businesses, modelling financials and performing due diligence on private equity managers to form the investment thesis. Since joining Hollyport Dani has deepened his knowledge of the secondaries industry, regularly reaching out to vendors, PE managers and intermediaries. He is now developing his knowledge of macroeconomics.

Before joining Hollyport, Dani was a Senior Associate at Duff & Phelps in the alternative asset advisory department. His role included the valuation of illiquid securities for hedge funds, private equity funds, and business development corporations.

Dani has a BSc in Finance and is a Chartered Financial Accountant (CFA), and also speaks Hebrew. Outside of the office, Dani supports the Mets, Jets, and Nets; and enjoys scrolling FinTwit.

Mrudula Munjeti

Mrudula joined Hollyport in 2021 as an Investment Associate in the New York office. She appraises potential investment opportunities, performing the financial modelling and due diligence of private equity funds and fund managers to formulate an investment thesis. She also supports the transfer process and legals for successful transactions.

Mrudula’s previous experience in leveraged finance has given her strong financial analysis and company valuation skills that she employs in her current role. She also uses her outreach and external communication skills to strategically network with players across the market.

Prior to joining Hollyport Mrudula worked in the diversified industries leveraged finance group at Capital One.

Mrudula has a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas. In her free time, she likes to travel, cook, and spend quality time with friends and family.

Billy Bott

Billy joined Hollyport in 2020 as an Investment Associate in the New York office. His role focusses on the appraisal of potential acquisitions of private equity funds and portfolio companies; modelling funds and formulating the investment thesis, and supporting the legal and transfer process once a deal is signed. Billy regularly speaks with fund managers and potential vendors to monitor fund performance and source business.

Billy previously worked as a Senior Associate in transaction advisory services, where he provided both sell-side and buy-side financial due diligence for middle market transactions for private equity clients.

Billy graduated from St John’s University with a BSc and a Masters degree in Accounting. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York. In his free time, Billy likes to play golf or cheer on the St. John’s Red Storm at Madison Square Garden.

Joshua Ko

Josh joined Hollyport in 2019, and is a Vice Principal in the investment team in New York. He originates, underwrites, and executes LP portfolio and GP-led transactions, taking a lead role within the project to form the investment thesis and mentor junior team members. Joshua also monitors existing investments, and reaches out to market participants for updates and industry intel.

Prior to joining Hollyport, Josh worked as a Senior Associate at NEPC in its Private Equity Research Group, where he was responsible for underwriting primary commitments to North America and Asia private equity funds and advising U.S. institutions on their private equity programs. Before that, he worked at Global Atlantic Financial Group within its Portfolio Risk Management team. This diversity helps him to bring differentiated views to Hollyport’s investment process.

Josh has a BSc in Finance and Economics from Boston College, Carroll School of Management, and is fluent in Korean. He’s also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.

Having lived in Seoul, Shanghai, Philadelphia and Boston, Josh looks to travel to new locations around the world and spend most his time pursuing a broad range of outdoor activities.

Glenn Bornstein

Glenn joined Hollyport in 2019, and is a Senior Associate in the investment team in New York. He takes a leading role in project teams to originate and appraise LP and complex secondary transactions, using his network to discuss Hollyport’s strategy with market participants and identify attractive market opportunities. Glenn trains new joiners to the investment team, focussing on their development and the wider team communication.

Before joining Hollyport, Glenn worked as a Senior Associate at KPMG in the deal advisory department, where he was involved in financial due diligence primarily in mid-market transactions for both private equity and corporate clients, across all sectors.

Glenn obtained a BSc and a Masters in Accounting from Penn State University, and is a Certified Professional Accountant. In his free time Glenn enjoys playing golf (and any other competitive activity) and eating his way through the NYC restaurant scene!
